Almetta Pitts, M.S.W. is a Board of Director for TeamChild, a non-profit law firm "who fights for effective solutions – community-driven strategies that nurture and develop the health and well-being of young people, instead of exclusion and incarceration."
She has been featured on: NPR, KOMO News and the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office’s Facebook Page. She holds a Masters degree in Social Work (Interpersonal Direct Practice/Mental Health) from the University of Washington (at Seattle). As a result of her conglomerate of experiences, she continues to meld her adversity and scholarship to promote "self-activism."
